Tab Sekki - 二十四節気七十二候
Tab Sekki is a simple Chrome extension that displays the beautiful words of the "二十四節気七十二候" on a traditional Japanese color that corresponds to the current season. It is designed to be shown on the new tab page of Chrome.
The "二十四節気七十二候" are traditional Japanese expressions that represent the seasons and are composed of short phrases that inform about the changes in weather and plants and animals. For example, "蟄虫啓戸" (the insects hiding in winter come out) and "雷乃発声" (distant thunder can be heard) are some of the expressions that reflect the close connection between the seasons and the way people used to live.
In addition to the words, the extension also features a background color that represents the season and a subtle Japanese pattern design. You can also share the current "七十二候" with others on Twitter by clicking the tweet button.
